The best thing about the project was the people everybody who I met is so nice and smart and the kids were awesome too.
also it was a very interesting experience for me because I never been to Russia and I never taught kids before
of course it was 6 weeks and I didn't expected to change me but at the end this 6 weeks worth at least a year if experience for me
overall it was great and I am really happy that I could have been a part of it
Hungary, Create your journey
I had been searching for many days trying to find the ultimate volunteering opportunity in Russia and then I found the opportunity named "Create your Journey", and I thought that's it!
It seemed to me like a complete program that combines many opportunities together.
I worked in a challenging environment with children and people with different mindset and culture but they made me feel like being home since day one. Spending time with children was a learning process not only for them but for me too. I got to know russian culture and traditions through children's eyes and enthusiasm and this was priceless!
The program gave me the opportunity to experience it at maximum but in the same time it provided us enough free time to explore Russia and being with our perfect local volunteers and Aisecers who helped us a lot through out the whole program.
We had a great time all together both with other global volunteers and with children. I already miss each and everyone of them and I yearn to go back to Russia again one day!
Greece, Create your journey
I just came here to share my amazing experience in Moscow Russia this summer. It started with my desire to travel, explore countries, cultures and meet people from all around the world. Honestly I did the best choice ever, I've learned alot of things, I discovered that I have alot of hidden skills (I didn't know that I can cook ), I developed the old ones too. Now I'm more confident, brave to be out from my comfort zone, and to face and solve problems.
Algeria, Create your journey
I want to thank my people, I have friends from all over the world now, we worked together, we explored together, we had fun, we shared culture, traditions and our way of thinking.
Now when I think about China I see shining smiles of Tiffany, David and Jennifer, when I think about Egypt I see Amr, Joe, Fahmy and hamdy making fun and cheering up people around them, when I think about turkey I see Furkan, esma and Ali standing up for each other, when I think about India I see rakshit teasing amr and others haha. I want a special thank to our Russian friends too especially Sonia our manager without her I would not have this summer and I want to thank olya for helping me to explore the city we had so much fun. I will miss those kids, I will miss their smiles, their hugs and their cutiness. In the end I want to thank aiesec for this experience and this opportunity.
